Jeffrey Dolezal Honored With BCA President’s Award
Longmont, Colo., February 10, 2026 — The Billiard Congress of America (BCA) is proud to announce that Jeffrey Dolezal, a longtime contributor and driving force in the National Wheelchair Poolplayers Association (NWPA), has been named the recipient of the 2025 BCA President’s Award.
At the BCA General Membership Meeting, Board Chairperson Jacklyn Ady, will present the President’s Award to Jeff in recognition of his dedication and impactful contributions to the sport and industry of billiards, as well as the NWPA.
“Jeff was an obvious choice for the President’s Award. I have been seeing him assist and play at BCA events since my election to the board. Once I learned about his contributions to cue sports and promotion of the game, there was no doubt that Jeffrey Dolezal represents the values inherent in our most distinguished award. His selflessness, integrity and commitment to advancing cue sports as a rehabilitative, community building exercise is admirable. The results of Jeff’s efforts are visible at pool rooms and competitive events every day.”
When the BCA announced that Dolezal would receive this year’s President’s Award, it marked a rare moment of personal recognition for a man who has spent decades deflecting attention away from himself. “It’s funny because I never do things with personal recognition,” Dolezal said. “I just do things to get them done.”
For nearly 20 years, Dolezal has been instrumental in the NWPA, building tournament structures, securing partnerships, mentoring players and, when necessary, quietly filling financial gaps out of his own pocket. The award, he insists, is not about him. For Dolezal, wheelchair billiards is not just competition, it is rehabilitation, reintegration and confidence.
From a warped basement table to international podiums and national leadership, his journey traces resilience and service. The President’s Award may carry his name, but the legacy belongs to the community he built.
“Getting people out into the community, giving them confidence to be in public, is part of their rehabilitation process,” he said. “That’s what it’s all about—improving the quality of life for others.”

To the next level: Mid-atlantic women’s council
Not sure if you are aware, but your Mid-Atlantic Chapter has more than 130 women Veterans who are a part of our membership – one of the largest chapter groups in the country, and one of the few chapters which offers a unified forum for ideas, while having a lot of fun in the process.
Our Women’s Council is now in its third year and ready to grow, expand its offerings and actively engage more members.
This is an invitation to you to become a part of something very meaningful and beneficial.
- Our Women’s Council has planned outings to share in the enjoyment of things that are special to you.
- Many of our members have also been influential in advocating for the unique needs of women Veterans.
- Women’s Council meetings are held both in-person and via Zoom so they are accessible to each of you.
All we ask is that you give it a try and share in the pride of the PVA Mid-Atlantic Women’s Council.

Holiday Banquet at the Acorn center in Littleton, NC
The PVA Mid-Atlantic Chapter celebrated 2025 with a festive holiday banquet full of family, friends, food, music, raffles, and presents. We experienced a heartwarming performance of Christmas songs from the Littleton Academy student choir, and their art students designed Holiday cards for our members.
Thank you to all of the members, partners, family, and friends that attended! Happy Holidays!

Our President’s Words: December 2025
On behalf of our Board of Directors and entire Mid-Atlantic team, we hope that your holiday season has been filled with the blessings and enjoyment of family and friends, good health and a bright outlook for what 2026 has in store for all of us.
Our chapter continued to flourish this year, but there is one thing, one big thing, that I believe we continue to struggle with – and as a chapter member reading these words, YOU can easily be a part of the solution.
We call it chapter engagement, and we are not alone – most chapters throughout the country are grappling with the same dilemma.
Our chapter is the second largest in the country, with more than 850 members, but there are literally hundreds of you who, unfortunately, are members in name only – we don’t see you or hear from you or have you take part in any of our programs, events and functions.
Listen, I understand that it is not always easy for many of us to get-out and get-going, but a part of our mission is to encourage you with all the strength we can muster to share in the things that we offer.
Not everyone likes to fish or hunt or go bowling or shoot pool – believe me, I get it.
But simply being around other Veterans, other chapter members, can be energizing.
Flip through these pages and take a look at the pictures from our annual Holiday Banquet – it’s the perfect example of a relaxing, enjoyable, fun day with members and their families.
In February we’ll have just as much fun and food and lots of laughs at our Super Bowl Party.
Along with becoming a part of our Women’s Council, these are just some of the fun ways to get involved and be an active member of our chapter community.
Additionally, if there is something unique that you enjoy, maybe a hobby or a spare time pursuit, let us know – there may be other members who have a similar interest.
My hope is that as you make your New Years’ Resolutions, you consider attending an event, stopping by to say hello or just giving us a call . . .
Together, let’s get-out and get-going in 2026!
With wishes for a wonderful new year….
Jimmy May
